10 Minute Tube Designs

From a collaboration with 10 Minute Tube Designs and Jiggs comes the Sand Spinner Pin. Pin designers Matty and Caitlin have been consistently releasing quality pins since their debut of the Buffalo Bill Owl Pin. This time they approached yours truly to help complete the concept of their first spinner pin.

Signed Whalecallers Sticker

I was extremely surprised and flattered to get this picture (sent to me by PT user TheSloth0711). This morning he and his girlfriend (PT user Violalee555) were near the Senate building when they got an opportunity to speak with Trey.

Violalee555 took the chance to ask if he would sign a sticker...well, I'll let TheSloth0711 tell the story...

"He was on his way to the Senate building when we got to say hello - my girl (Violalee555 on pt ;) asked if he'd sign the sticker and he cracked a HUGE smile when he saw the one she meant (not the 'phish' logo sticker) and said he loved the creativity..."

Whalecaller Shirt Re-print

Some of you have been waiting since last summer for this re-print. My original promise was that if a Hartford show was announced again, I would re-run this design. Even though it didn't happen, the emails kept coming. Well, the wait is over. For a limited time, these will be available for pre-order. Only what is ordered will be printed. After that, the screens get reclaimed, and the design goes back on the shelf. Click here for details.

What Remains of Polaris Amphitheater

These shots were found on the "columbusunderground forum" by spocksbrain on PT. They are on the Flicker photo stream of user cdubya1971 and were taken on July 2nd, 2011.

From the photographer: "Polaris Amphitheater, or Germain as it was called when it closed in 2007, is now just in decay and ruin. Following the 2007 concert season the facility and property were auctioned for sale but received no bids from buyers. Seats have been uprooted and there is quite a level of untouched vandalism and graffiti." See the rest of the photos here.


Billy Ray Cyrus played the first concert at Germain Amphitheater in 1994. Toby Keith played the final show on September 16, 2007. The last Phish shows took place there July 14th and 15th in 2000.

Yesterday I received this email, because of our efforts (through the ASIHTOS shirts) to raise money for Peace Winds. For all of you who purchased a shirt during this time, this message is also for you...

Peace Winds America joins the Consul General and Prime Minister in expressing our deepest gratitude to you—all who have supported the people of Japan through funding for relief and recovery as well as through prayers and heartfelt concern.  Your generous response has been overwhelming and we thank you.

Since the March 11 earthquake/tsunami, Peace Winds America and our sister organization, Peace Winds Japan, have provided relief to the northeastern area devastated by the tsunami.  We continue to offer relief to survivors in shelters – from food and nutrition to entertainment and haircuts.  We are delivering household supplies – including blankets, sheets, cooking utensils, and cutlery – to an estimated 11,000 families in temporary homes.  We are targeting the elderly to ensure that they are not forgotten and that their wisdom and experiences are tapped. Additionally, Peace Winds is working closely with local Chambers of Commerce and Industry as well as with Fishing Cooperatives to create jobs, restore livelihoods, and accelerate recovery.

Please continue to join us in targeted relief and recovery for the people and the affected communities of Japan.
