Alpharetta Poster 2014

Finished artwork.
The last in the summer toy series is Alpharetta. The paper colors I have chosen were inspired by the records that were included with this toy. Seems like everyone had one of these at some point, or at least someone you knew had one.

This Pop Tone paper color is called "Limeaid". It's 100lb paper stock and like the others, will have a hand deckled bottom edge. 12" 1/2 by 18". This is just a rough estimation of the colors, as the ink will change a bit once it hits the paper.

Since these are printing this week, I will not have time for online sales prior to the show. Progress photos will be added as I go, so check back often. I am shooting for a run of at least 40.

This run went as well as the Oak mountain run did. I was able to get 50 prints made. I won't have time to put these online before the weekend, so they will only be available in the Alpharetta lot, though I will probably have a few of these with me in Alabama, too.

Anything left after Georgia will go back in the store next week (including shirt links for those who have been asking).

Pelham Poster 2014

Next in the toy series is Pelham. I always love seeing Phish in places I have never been. The Pelham illustration features four notes for the four band members, and the xylophone represents the opening notes to Divided Sky.

Drawing again from the Pop Tone paper line, this one is called "Orange Fizz". It 100lb paper stock and like the others, will have a hand deckled bottom edge. 12" 1/2 by 18". This is just a rough estimation of the colors, as the paper is a bit warmer.

Progress photos will be added as I go, so check back often. I am shooting for a run of at least 40.

I couldn't be any happier with this particular run. I ended up with a full run of 50 posters, and 5 A/Ps for the run. I will have a handful of these with me in Charlotte this weekend. Then I will put a few online prior to the show next week, time permitting.

Charlotte Poster 2014

This year's posters will have a 'Toys' theme. They will all be done in a similar 4 color screen print advertising style. The posters will be 12 1/2 inches by about 18 or 17 inches since the bottom edge will be hand deckled. I will be using the Pop-Tone line provided by French Paper Company. The paper is 100 lb cover stock and the colors are reminiscent of the toys that are featured in the illustrations. I am pretty excited about this series as I will be printing these myself. It's amazing to see what you intended change a bit as the ink hits the paper.

First up is Charlotte. This one is very close to being printed, so this post will be getting photo updates of the process. The other two posters on deck are Pelham and Alpharetta. I will start different progress posts when those are ready to print. I am planning runs of 50 for each print, but that number may go down some. It doesn't look like I will have time to offer the Charlotte run prior to the show, but I will if I am able to.

Stay tuned for more updates...

Paper is here and deckling is done.
Separations are done.

Finished poster.

The run ended up being 35. The border gave a lot of interesting distressing variations. Though the yellow isn't as bright as I hoped, the run ended up going pretty well.

These will be available online for a few days, and anything left will be with me in Charlotte.
These are $23.50 shipped. Grab one here.
